Don't underestimate the joy of togetherness
Lovely people, tasty snacks and plenty of natter.

I started the Colour Wheel Group in August 2019 under the banner of the Hardwick WI. One of the WI resolutions was to find ways to combat loneliness in our villages. Another was to promote mindfulness and as a keen WI member, I thought that starting a colouring group in our village was a good way to address both these very relevant matters.
We have a lovely mix of all ages and abilities and everyone is free to come and go as they like. We have on average 17 participants who attend the sessions, some who walk, some who drive and some who make use of the Community Car Scheme. All the material is provided and a snack lunch with tea/coffee is served. A donation of £3 per session helps to cover costs. I do not require prior notification of who is coming and no apology is necessary if you can’t make a session. No one should feel any pressure in coming to this group and if you do not wish to colour but just chat, then that is also perfectly fine. |
